Fans/Volunteers

FANS: If you'd like to be on our "fan list" and just get emails letting you know when we have matches, tournaments, or community events, just drop me a quick email here, and I'll add you to our list. (Parents: you don't need to be on this list as I'll already have you on the parent list, so you'll get those emails and many more!! :) However, the fan list is a good choice for uncles/aunts/grandparents and relatives like that who only want to know when the big events are.)

VOLUNTEERS (single event): We need and value you highly. FIRST Robotics is a volunteer organization, and you keep us going!! Thank you! You do not need to know anything about robots, electronics, or engineering. Our event volunteers act as coordinators, student/team organizers (ie "herding cats"), and judges. Ms. Goin, one of the NTHS coaches, has acted as a judge at previous events, and Jil Dick, one of our parents, has also volunteered. Please feel free to talk with either of them about their experiences. If you'd like to have a very exciting and interesting day with our students and their robots, please click on this link, read the info, and then click on the link at the bottom of that page to pass along your contact info. Thanks VERY much for being a part of our students' experience.

VOLUNTEERS (long term): Parents, mentors, community members, we need YOU!! Long term mentors come in (as they are able due to work/family schedules) and spend time with the students helping them learn to problem solve, give presentations, interview or be interviewed, and many other engineering and life skills. You do not need to have a background in electronics, programming, engineering, or mechanics. If you'd be interested in helping our teams to grow and pick up necessary problem-solving and life skills, please contact me via email here, and I'll be thrilled to talk with you about what we do and how you can play a hugely important role in our students' learning process.
